VTECRM UPDATE - NEW VERSION

Hi everyone,
does anyone know if it possibile to disable checking for new version every time users logs into VTE?
Every time a user logs into CRM, a "new version available" message always appears.

I'm planning to update to version 15.05 as soon as possible...

Since it's my first VTE update, tell me please: after downloading the package (in a folder different from the vtecrm installation one), do I only have to decompress, then point to ../index.php and the installer will locate my vtecrm installation and upgrade it? It's a Linux installation.

Or I'll have to reinstall / reactivate something? There's some problem for existing data?

I think your response will interest most system administrators, planning update to 15.05.
